William Tyree Obituary

William H. Tyree, 78, of Manchester, passed away Thursday, November 11, 2021 at his residence. He was born March 12, 1943 in War, West Virginia, son of the late Clinton and Agnes Lester Tyree. He is survived by his loving wife of 59 years, Joyce A. Mergele Tyree. In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by a grandson, Michael Nolet and siblings, Cecil, Marilyn, Claude and Louise.

William was a faithful member of the Appalachian Bible Church in West Union, where he taught the church's first Sunday Class. He was an avid reader and loved reading the Bible.

In addition to his wife, he is survived by his children, Deborah (Michael) Wolf, Janice Tyree, Tracy Rubio and Clinton Tyree; 13 grandchildren; 17 great-grandchildren; siblings, Pauline (Jimmy) Parker, Herbert (Marcella) Tyree and Brenda Hicks as well as his beloved congregation at Appalachian Bible Church.

William will be cremated. No services will be held at this time. Arrangements are entrusted to Wilson Funeral Home in Manchester.
