William "Wild Bill" Mathias

William E. “Wild Bill” Mathias, 66, of Winchester, OH, passed away, Saturday, July 12, 2025 at his residence.  He was born March 31, 1959 in Dundee, OH, son of the late Dale L. Mathias Sr. and Mary Lou Hodges Mathias.  In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by a brother, Dr. Dale Mathias Jr. and a sister, Judy Lewis.

Survivors include his sons, Joshua, Jimmy and Matthew, who promise to make him proud and work hard to stay together to honor his memory the rest of their lives; brother, David Lee (Brittany) Mathias of Winesburg, OH; sisters, Betty Duvall of Akron, OH and Beth Ann (George) Richards of Winesburg, OH; special friends, Brian and Ashley Yoder, Nate and Karen Miller as well as several nieces, nephews, cousins and friends.

Family and friends are invited to a visitation from 5:00 – 7:00 PM, Friday, July 18, 2025 at Thompson-Meeker Funeral Home, 216 W. Mulberry St., West Union, OH.  Funeral service will be held at 1:00 PM, Saturday, July 19, 2025 at Zion Reformed Church, 2082 E. Old Main St., Winesburg, OH, under the direction of Thompson-Meeker Funeral Home.  Pastor Brett Barkley will officiate.  Burial will follow at West Lawn Cemetery, Dundee, OH.
