Sherry L. (Kennedy) Gaffin

Sherry L. Gaffin, 61, of Manchester, passed away Thursday, May 2, 2024 at the Ohio State University Medical Center in Columbus.  She was born September 23, 1962 in West Union, daughter of John Martin Kennedy of Manchester and the late Nancy L. Gray Kennedy.  She is survived by her loving husband of 18 years, John Wayne Gaffin.

Sherry’s family was her world, especially her pride and joy, Luke and Noah.  She hardly ever missed an event that they were in; it didn’t matter the distance or the event, she was there.  She also enjoyed watching and hearing Kadyn sing.   Not only did she love her grandchildren, but also loved all the children of the town.  She always enjoyed seeing them grow and succeed and supported them at any sporting event. 

In addition to her husband and father, she is survived by her beloved children, Jennifer (Andy) Baughey, Tara (Roger) Applegate, Brandon (Juana) Rowe, John (Laura) Gaffin and Hillary Gaffin; her adored grandchildren, Kadyn Watson, Luke and Noah Applegate, Drew Baughey, Russell and Claire Gaffin, Austin and Isaiah Redmon and Mason Applegate; great-grandchildren, Brystol Redmon and Miles Applegate; siblings, Martina (Jeff) Fields, John Kennedy, Jill Kennedy; Rose Copas and Karen Rolph; special nieces and nephews, Brooke and Drew Kennedy, Jessica Alexander and Tyler Fields as well as a host of aunts, uncles, cousins and friends.

Family and friends are invited to a visitation from 6:00 – 8:00 PM, Thursday, May 9, 2024 at Wilson Funeral Home, 35 W. Second St., Manchester.  Funeral service will be held at 11:00 AM, Friday, at the funeral home.  Pastor Dale Little will officiate.  Burial will follow at Manchester Cemetery.

Family suggests memorial contributions be made to the Leukemia Research Foundation.
