Rodney D. Howell

Rodney D. Howell, 83, of West Union, passed away Saturday, June 26, 2021 at Batavia Nursing Care Center in Batavia.  He was born April 25, 1938 in Manchester, son of the late Oscar Raymond and Esta Marie Francis Howell.  In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by his brothers, Robert, Dale, Kenneth and Herman; sisters, Doris and Joyce as well as one step-brother and one step-sister.  

Rodney was honorably discharged from the Army National Guard of Ohio in 1964 and was a member of the American Legion Post# 888.

He is survived by his sister, Carolyn “Cookie” Burton of West Union; brother, Garland Howell of Mansfield; nephew Brian Howell and wife Angie; best friend, Buzz Wilkerson as well as several other nieces, nephews, great-nieces and great-nephews.

Family and friends are invited to a graveside service at 11:00 AM, July 2, 2021 at Manchester Cemetery.  Military honors will be conducted by the Adams County Honor Guard.  Arrangements are entrusted to the Wilson Funeral Home in Manchester.
