Rhonda Lynn Woods, 65, of Bentonville, passed away Wednesday, July 22, 2026 at her residence. She was born October 10, 1960 in Hamilton, Ohio daughter of the late Randall Perkins and Jack Gregory. She is survived by her loving husband of almost 50 years, Herbert Alan Woods. In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by her maternal grandmother, who was basically a second mother to her, Bertha Jones.
Rhonda dedicated her life to hard work, service, and caring for others. Gifted in the electrical field, she began her career with Cinergy, which later became Duke Energy. Through determination and perseverance, she worked her way up to become a Senior Supervisor and Cable Splicer. Her courage and quick thinking were recognized when she received a Life Saving Award for rescuing a co-worker while the two were working underground. Rhonda's resilience, strength, and wisdom were evident in every aspect of her life, but her greatest pride was being a devoted mother who loved her children beyond measure. She was the kind of person who would gladly give the shirt off her back to help someone in need, always putting others before herself. A woman of deep and abiding faith, Rhonda was baptized in the Nazarene Church in West Chester, Ohio, and her strong Christian beliefs served as the foundation of her life. She will be remembered for her unwavering work ethic, compassionate heart, steadfast faith, and the lasting impact she made on everyone fortunate enough to know her.
In addition to her husband, she is survived by her children, Christopher Allen Woods, Daniel Encoch Woods, Melissa Angela (Zachary Terry) Woods and Nicholas Lee Woods; grandson, Landyn Miller; siblings, Theresa Gibson, Bernice Wayne Holland and Shawn Hill and her aunts, Mary Yager and Susie Huff.
Family and friends are invited to a visitation from 4:00 PM, until the time of the funeral service at 8:00 PM, Tuesday, July 28, 2026 at Wilson Funeral Home, 35 W. Second St., Manchester, OH 45144.
