Retired First Sergeant William Richard Conn

Retired First Sergeant William Richard Conn, age 75 years of West Union, Ohio passed away Sunday, June 30, 2024. Mr. Conn was born March 30, 1949 in Blue Creek, Ohio to the late Richard S. Conn & Verlie L. (Hayslip). In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by a brother Dennis Conn and sister Teresa Conn.

After serving 25 years with the US Army, and serving in the Vietnam war, Mr. Conn retired as a First Sergeant.

Survivors include his wife Phyllis Conn of West Union; daughters Stacy Conn Humphrey of Peebles; Melinda Waudby & Aaron of New Vienna; step daughter Tisha Tolliver & James of Stockdale; son Anthony Conn of Wilmington; step son Derek Tackett & Beth of Lucasville; sisters Linda Morris of Peebles; Donna Conn of West Union; special nephew Wes Conn of Amelia; ten grandchildren and several great grandchildren.

Funeral services will be held Friday, July 5, 2024 at 1:00 at the Thompson-Meeker Funeral Home in West Union, with Clarence Abbott officiating. Burial will follow in the West Union Village Cemetery. Visitation will be held the day of the service from 11am to 1pm.
