Rebecca Jane (Bayless) Stout

Rebecca Jane Stout, 91, of Manchester, passed away Monday, June 23, 2025 at her residence.  She was born January 17, 1934 in West Union, daughter of the late Charles and Thelma Dunkin Bayless.  She was the widow of the late Phillip “Sherdie” Stout who passed away in 2010.  In addition to her husband and parents, she was preceded in death by her daughter, Tangela King; son, Michael Stout; grandson, Matthew Stout; brothers, George, Johnny and Charles Bayless; sisters, Dorothy Bradford, Edith Barnes, Betty Brewer and Ann Lute.  

Rebecca was a devoted member of Riverview Baptist Church in Aberdeen. She took great pride in her work in housekeeping at Ohio Valley Manor, where she formed lasting connections and touched many lives. A loving and dedicated family woman, she cherished time spent with her loved ones. When health allowed, she found joy in tending to her flower beds, cooking delicious meals, and mowing her yard—simple pleasures that brought her peace and happiness.

She is survived by her children, Danny (Candy) Bayless, Dianne (Paul) Bevins, Kelly (Leslie) Stout and Alicia (the late Craig) Morgan; 9 grandchildren; several great-grandchildren; sisters, Mary (the late Billy) Rhoads and Linda (Johnny) Crawford; brothers, Roger Bayless and Larry (Vivian) Bayless.

Family and friends are invited to a visitation from 12:00 PM, until the time of the funeral service at 1:00 PM, Friday, June 27, 2025 at Wilson Funeral Home, 35 W. Second St., Manchester.  Pastor Don Owens will officiate.  Burial will follow at West Union Village Cemetery.

Family suggests memorial contributions be made to the Riverview Baptist Church, 1810 Vista Dr., Aberdeen, OH 45101.
