Raymond Bowen Jr.

Raymond Bowen Jr., 76, of West Union, passed away Wednesday, November 29, 2023 at Eagle Creek Nursing Center in West Union.  He was born July 17, 1947 in Fairbury, IL, son of the late Raymond L. Bowen Sr. and Norma Christine Singleton Bowen.  In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by his sister, Judy Williams.

Raymond honorably served his country in the United States Army during the Vietnam War Era.  He was also an avid reader and basically a human computer full of knowledge.

Ray leaves behind his brother, James Bowen; 4 nephews; 1 niece and several cousins that will dearly miss him.

Family and friends are invited to a visitation from 3:00 – 4:00 PM, Monday, December 4, 2023 at Wilson Funeral Home, 35 W. Second St., Manchester.  Military Honors will be conducted by the Adams County Honor Guard following the visitation.  Raymond will be cremated after the services.
