Rachel Faye (Blevins) Mefford

Rachel Faye (Blevins) Mefford was born January 5, 1945 to the late James H. & Vina (Littleton) Blevins in Cranston, Kentucky.  She went to be with her Lord and Savior Jesus Christ on September 22, 2021 at 4:35pm at Anderson Mercy Hospital in Cincinnati at the age of 76 years, 8months and 17 days.

On December 7, 1963 she was united in marriage to Carl Thomas Mefford.  In this union 4 children were born: Mike, Carla, Jeffery and Tommy Mefford.

In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by her loving husband, Carl Thomas Mefford; 2 sons, Michael and Jeffery Mefford.  She was also preceded in death by her brothers and sisters, Raymond Blevins, Clayton Blevins, Cora Knechelty, Evelyn Poston, Lulie Blevins, Clifford Blevins, Sue Eskew, Betty Blevins, Thomas Blevins and Ann Dryden.

She worked for 27 ½ years at Adams County Schools as a Bus Driver, Aide and a Teacher.

She was a wonderful wife, mother and grandmother who really loved her family.

She leaves behind one daughter, Carla Mefford; son, Tommy Mefford; daughter-in-law, Kim Mefford; 2 granddaughters, Rebecca (Kyle) Free and Kati Mefford and 3 great-granddaughters, Holly, Myra and Harper Free.

Family and friends are invited to a visitation from 11:30 AM, until the time of the funeral service at 1:30 PM, Sunday, September 26, 2021 at Wilson Funeral Home, 35 W. Second St., Manchester.  Rev. Billy Newton will officiate.  Burial will follow at Manchester Cemetery.
