Rachel Ann Buschard Lowe

Rachel Ann Buschard Lowe, 43, of West Union, passed away peacefully on Wednesday, January 7, 2026. She was born on August 3, 1982, in Cincinnati, Ohio, to the late Connie (Cantrell) and Allen Buschard. She is survived by her loving husband Dylan Lowe.

Rachel was a graduate of Bedford North Lawrence High School of Indiana, Class of 2001. Rachel had a deep love for genealogy, the 70’s and 80’s TV shows, going fishing with her husband and family, listening to 50’s and 60’s music, art, collecting things like model cars and stuffed animals, and enjoyed traveling. She attended the West Union Church of Christ and was baptized in 2025. Rachel spent many of her days at Venture Productions with her “extended family” where she loved taking part in genealogy class, volunteer work, the holiday parties and loved attending the yearly “Night to Shine”.

Rachel is survived by her Aunt Becky Record of Ohio, Aunt Brenda Collins of Tennessee, Aunt Linda (Mike) Woodward of Tennessee, Uncle Michael Blevins of Tennessee, Uncle Jesse Ray of Indiana, Uncle Jo Irwin of Indiana, Aunt Muerrell (Barry) Malone of West Union, Aunt Ruth Buschard of Indiana, Mother-in-law Hannah Holland, and Father-in-law Joseph Lowe both of West Union, and a special cousin Ashley (Matt) Martin, and many other cousins. In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by her siblings- Eve, Joseph, and Clarence Buschard, her maternal grandparents Rachel (Gibson) and Paul Estep, her paternal grandparents Raymond and Mattie (Lanter) Buschard, Aunt Donna Pistole and other aunts and uncles.

Rachel earned her wings to heaven and will be greatly missed by her husband, family, and friends.

 Family and friends are invited to the visitation from 10:00 AM to 11:00 AM on Monday, January 12, 2026, at the Thompson-Meeker Funeral Home, 216 W Mulberry Street, West Union, Ohio. Graveside services will follow the visitation at the West Union IOOF Cemetery located off of State Route 125, West Union. Services are entrusted to the Thompson-Meeker Funeral Home.
