Phil Hawkins

Phil Hawkins, 71, of West Union, passed away Saturday, October 14, 2023 at his residence, surrounded by his loving family.  He was born April 23, 1952 in Portsmouth, OH, son of the late Robert and Bonnelene Branham Hawkins.  Phil was an Operator for DP&L.  He was also a member of the Adams County Historical Society, the West Union Masonic Lodge #43, Scottish Rite and West Union Christian Union Church.  He is survived by his loving wife of 36 years, Becky Appleman Hawkins. 

In addition to his wife, he is survived by his children, Chris (Stephanie) Ralston, Stephanie (Matt) Cummings, Jenny (Tim) Brown and Jill (Ryan) Shiveley; several grandchildren; 4 great-grandchildren and a brother, Dennis (Josie) Hawkins.

Family and friends are invited to a visitation from 10:00 AM, until the time of the funeral service at 12:00 PM, Tuesday, October 17, 2023 at Thompson-Meeker Funeral Home, 216 W. Mulberry St., West Union.  Reverends Danny Welch and Lee Detwiller will officiate.  Burial will follow at West Union Cemetery.
