It is with heavy hearts that we announce the passing of Penny Louise (Fields) Dixon. Penny was the middle child of three daughters born on April 1, 1951 to her parents, the late Milford Julius Fields and Evelyn Louise (Boone) Fields.
Penny Married Dennis Thomas Dixon on July 1, 1978. They were happily married for 46 years and raised three children, Tina Horton (Daniel), Bruce Dixon (Stacy) and Jennifer Dixon. She was blessed with one granddaughter, Brooke Horton and four grandsons, Craig Horton, Brice Dixon, Blake Dixon (Emily), and Brett Dixon, as well as, one great grandson Barrett Hayward.
Penny is also survived by her sisters Nancy Shupert (John) and Becky Foster (Jeff), brother-in-law Randall Dixon (Loretta), sister-in-law Sharon Ellis (Charles) and many nieces, nephews and cousins.
Penny worked at the Adams County Hospital and the Adams County Ohio Valley Local Schools and made many birthday and wedding cakes.
Penny was a member of Satterfield Chapel Christian Union Church. She was a Sunday School teacher for many years and a Program Director for numerous holiday programs and Vacation Bible Schools. She was saved and became a child of God at a young age during a revival at Dunkinsville Methodist Church.
A visitation will be held at the Satterfield Chapel Church on Friday, April 11, 2025 from 11:00 AM till the time of the funeral service at 1:00 PM. Burial will follow in the West Union Cemetery, with Danny Welch officiating. The Thompson-Meeker Funeral Home in West Union is serving the family.
