Peggie Herod

Peggie Ann Herod, age 94, passed away peacefully on June 30, 2025, at Eagle Creek Nursing Home in West Union, Ohio. She was the beloved younger daughter of Everett and Sara Moore of Mariemont, Ohio.

Peggie spent many years working in the Nutone office in Cincinnati, where she was known for her dedication and reliability. In her younger days, she enjoyed the camaraderie and competition of bowling leagues and spending time on the golf course. After a shoulder injury limited her ability to play, she continued to follow the game faithfully on television. She was a devoted animal lover, trusted by countless families across the Cincinnati area to care for their beloved pets and homes.

A devoted Christian, Peggie was never shy about sharing her faith. She often struck up conversations with strangers, asking kindly and directly, “Are you a believer?” Her faith was a guiding light in her life and shaped how she cared for others.

Peggie found her greatest joy in family. She cherished her roles as “Grandma” and “Aunt Peg,” titles she carried with pride and love. Peggie will be deeply missed and fondly remembered for her faith and humor.

She was preceded in death by her beloved daughter, Kristine Ann (Wood), and her older sister, Helen Jane (Prinzbach).

She is survived by her son Kevin Schmid (Kim), and their sons Kevin and Michael; as well as Kristine’s children with Ian — David (Lindsey) and their children Ewan, Benjamin and Charlotte Kristine; Jonathan (Becky) and their sons Forrest and Orion; Danny (Megan); and Abigail. She is also remembered with love by many nieces and nephews from the Prinzbach family and relatives of the Schmid family.

The family extends heartfelt thanks to the compassionate staff at Eagle Creek Nursing Home and to the many friends and loved ones who enriched Peggie’s life and preceded her in passing.
