Patricia Preston, a devoted wife, mother, grandmother, and woman of Christian faith, passed away on Thursday April 23rd, 2026 at the age of 70.
Patricia was known for her strength, kindness, and unwavering love for her family. She lived a life of quiet sacrifice, always putting others before herself and creating a home filled with warmth, faith, and compassion. Her love for her children and grandchildren was the center of her world, and she leaves behind a legacy of faith, resilience, and deep devotion.
She found joy in caring for her family, spending time with her sisters Betty Abbott/Debbie McDaniel, reading books and butterfly watching. She had a special way of making everyone feel loved and welcomed. Patricia’s life was a reflection of her faith, which guided her in all that she did.
She is survived by her husband Gary G. Preston, children Michael Abbott, Melissa Preston and Gary Lee Preston, her cherished grandchildren and extended family and friends who will miss her dearly. She was preceded in death by her father Robert Bradford, mother Virgie Bradford, brother Ronald Bradford and grandson Austin Abbott.
A memorial service will be held May 9, 2026 at 11:00 AM, at The New Beginning Church in Manchester, Ohio followed by a graveside service with a butterfly release in her honor. Services are entrusted to the Thompson-Meeker Funeral Home in West Union.
In lieu of flowers, the family asks that donations be made to The Kidney Foundation or that acts of kindness be done in Patricia’s memory.
