Patricia Lewis Obituary

Patricia A. Lewis, 84, of Xenia, Ohio, passed away Friday, March 6, 2026 at Adams County Manor in West Union.  She was born June 11, 1941 in Adams County, daughter of the late Sherman and Leona Thompson Hackathorn.  She was the widow of the James Lewis.  In addition to her husband and parents, she was preceded in death by a grandson, TJ Womacks; great-grandson, Huxley Womacks; brothers, Bud and George Hackathorn as well as a sister, Rose Shelton.

Patricia devoted many years of service to the people of Adams County as the County Recorder, a role she carried out with dedication, integrity, and pride. While she valued her work and the relationships she built through it, nothing meant more to her than her family and friends. They were the center of her world and the greatest source of her joy. Patricia cherished the time spent with those she loved, always placing their needs and happiness above her own, and her caring nature and unwavering devotion will be remembered by all who had the privilege of knowing her.

She is survived by her daughter, Debbie (Tom) Womacks; sons, Danny (Becky) Lewis, Mike Lewis and Joe Lewis; several grandchildren and great-grandchildren; 2 great-great-grandchildren; and her brother, Robert (Shirley) Hackathorn.

Patricia’s wishes were to be cremated. A PRIVATE family viewing will be held at the funeral home on Tuesday,March 10, 2026 at 11:00 AM. Arrangements are entrusted to Wilson Funeral Home in Manchester.
