Oscar Wayne Hoskins

Oscar Wayne Hoskins, age 69 years young, of West Union, Ohio, passed away peacefully at home on January 13, 2026. Oscar, which all friends and family knew by Wayne O was born June 20, 1956 in Hamilton, Ohio to the late Oscar & Laura Hoskins of West Union.

Preceded in death by his parents Oscar and Laura Hoskins, sister Anna Faye Snyder, two nephews Daniel Hoskins and Paul Hoskins. One niece, Mandi Byrom.

Survivors were his three sisters Edna and Dana Ward of West Union, Ohio; Mattie and Wayne Hibbs of Midland, Ohio; and Ragene and Roy Kitchen of Hillsboro, Ohio. Eight nieces and nephews; and many great nieces and nephews.

Wayne O contributed his entire life to the family farm. He loved the great outdoors where he did a lot of fishing and hunting. He was always ready to share his knowledge with anyone willing to listen, spend time, and learn. He had a real knack for carpentry, rebuilding farm equipment, and spent his life in construction. He built not just structures but also built a solid foundation of love and community for the ones around him.

Following cremation, a Celebration of Life will be held Friday, February 6, 2026 at 2:00 PM, at the Thompson-Meeker Funeral Home in West Union, with David Acree officiating. Gathering of family and friends will be from 12:00 PM till 2:00 PM the day of the service. The Thompson-Meeker Funeral Home in West Union is serving the family.
