Melody R (Ernst) McKinzie

Melody R. McKinzie, 67, of Georgetown, OH, passed away Tuesday, June 30, 2026. She was born on January 20, 1959 in Georgetown, OH to the late Charles (Bud) Ernst and Mary Kathryn (Whalen) Leibrock. She worked at Everyday Home Health Care in Mt. Orab. She also worked in many retail stores. She loved to play bingo, where she had many family and friends.

In addition to her parents, she also was preceded in death by step father, Charles Leibrock.

Melody is survived by her loving husband, Patrick McKinzie of Georgetown; step-mother, Eleanor Ernst of Georgetown; step-daughters, Angel (Darin) Hamilton of Maysville, KY, Sarah (Denis) Lefrancois of Maysville, KY; step siblings, Ruth Ellen (Craig) Kidwell of Georgetown, Heidi (Geoff) Hyde of Georgetown, Chuck (Emily) Ernst of Georgetown, Rob Ernst of Sardinia, Ryan (Laura) Ernst of Georgetown; step grandchildren, Alexis (Bradley) Bradford, Bethany Waters and Karsen Baker all of Maysville, KY; step great granddaughter, Amelia Bradford, her dog Buster Brown, special cousin, Sandi Kattine of Georgetown as well as aunt, Jean Rothzen, several, nieces, nephews and cousins.

Funeral services will be held on Monday, July 6, 2026 at 1:00 PM at the Meeker Funeral Home in Russellville. Darin Hamilton will be officiating. Visitation will be held from 11:00 AM until the time of the service at 1:00 PM. Cremation will follow the services.
