Mary Ann Calvert

Mary Ann Calvert, 85, of Wooster, passed away on Sunday November 19, 2023 at LifeCare Hospice in Wooster with her son, Tim, at her side.

She was born November 19, 1938 in Mansfield, to Anna Mae (Wait) and Clyde William Jones. She grew up in Richland County and was married to Everett Wayne Calvert on May 9, 1958 at Bellevue, Ohio, and they spent 62 years together. She was employed at Aim Packaging, Port Clinton, for 15 years; retiring as Head of Quality Control. She and Wayne lived in numerous locations in Ohio and Florida before settling in Wooster, Ohio in 2016.

Mary Ann was a member of the First Baptist Church of Wooster. She enjoyed bowling, quilting, playing Bingo and travel. She is survived by her children, Cynthia (Mick) Shockley of Eaton, Ohio, and Timothy W. (Anne Lowery) of Wooster, a brother, Kenneth (Joan) Jones of Bellville, OH, Grandchildren Joseph (Tracie) Aman, Port Clinton, Isaac W. Aman, Eaton, Rebecca Sue (Thomas) Luebbe, Lebanon, OH, Timothy Calvert Jr., of Texas, Chelsea Calvert (Desire Smoot) of Albuquerque, NM, Brooks Calvert, Covington, KY, Blake (Shaylee) Calvert, Port Clinton, and Robert (Heather) Shockley of Oklahoma, twelve great-grandchildren, special friend Ron White, and her beloved dog, Krystal.

She was proceeded in death by her parents, husband, sister Nellie Mae Martin, daughter Brenda Calvert, and great-grandson Trevor Moore.

The Calvert Family would like to extend its appreciation to Ohio LifeCare Hospice of Wooster and the caregivers who helped make Mary’s final days comfortable and peaceful. Thanks also to Roberts Funeral Home of Wooster for their local assistance. A Memorial Service will be held at First Baptist Church of Wooster, 246 N. Market St., Wooster on Tuesday November 28th at 11:00, with Pastor Larry Groves officiating. Burial will take place in Mt. Olivet Cemetery, Mt. Olivet, Kentucky Wednesday November 29th at Noon, with assistance of Thompson-Meeker Funeral Home of West Union, Ohio.
