Junior Paul Grooms

Junior Paul Grooms, age 80 of Peebles, Ohio passed away Monday, July 15, 2024. Junior was born February 9, 1944 in Washington Courthouse, Ohio to the late Harley & Doretta (Craft) Grooms. In addition to his parents, he is preceded in death by a son Jason Eugene Grooms; sister Monalee Webb; brothers Roger D. Grooms, Mitch Grooms & Bill Manchester.

Junior worked at Valley Steel for 20 plus years. He enjoyed playing music, going to church and going to nursing homes to play for the residents. And he loved spending time with his family.

Survivors include his wife Wanda Grooms of Peebles; daughters Joanna Smith & Jeff Mercer of Bainbridge; Lisa Tumbleson of Cedar Mills; Debbie Rothwell & Larry of Cedar Mills; sons Jeff Grooms of New Viena; Kelly Grooms & Trish of Lynx; sisters Harlene Rein of Wilmington; Barb Perry of Wilmington; brother Jerry Grooms & Mary of Hillsboro; seventeen grandchildren & twenty-four great grandchildren.

Funeral services will be held Friday, July 19, 2024 at 1:00 PM at the Thompson-Meeker Funeral Home in West Union, with Chet Whaley officiating. Burial will follow in the East Liberty Cemetery. Visitation will be held the day of the service at the funeral home from 11:00 am to 1:00 pm.
