Joyce A. (Mergele) Tyree

Joyce A. Tyree, 78, of Manchester, passed away Thursday, May 15, 2025 at her residence.  She was born June 2, 1946 in San Antonio, TX, daughter of the late Jacob and Helina Caldway Mergele.  She was the widow of the late William Tyree who passed away in 2021.  In addition to her husband and parents, she was preceded in death by a grandson, Michael Nolet; 3 sisters and 1 brother. 

Joyce was a faithful member of the Appalachian Baptist Church in West Union.  She was deeply loved by her family in which she loved spending time with and taking care of.  

She is survived by her children, Deborah (Michael) Wolf, Janice Tyree, Tracy Rubio and Clinton Tyree; 12 grandchildren and 21 great-grandchildren.  

Joyce’s wishes were to be cremated.  No services will be held at this time.  Arrangements are entrusted to Wilson Funeral Home in Manchester.
