John Whittaker

John Whittaker, 47, of Manchester, passed away Monday, August 11, 2025 at his residence.  He was born June 25, 1978 in West Islip, NY, son of James Whittaker and the late Debbra Votta Gigliati.

John lived and breathed the game of pool, spending countless hours perfecting his shot and enjoying the camaraderie it brought. He had a deep love for his faithful dog, Smokey, and cherished his family above all. John valued the many friendships he built over the years—from New York to Ohio—with his pool family and his friends at the Manchester Vets Club, who held a special place in his heart.

In addition to his father, he is survived by his brother, Jay (Nichole) Whittaker; sisters, Christina (John) Walpole and April (John) Comba; nieces, Alexis and Mackenzie; nephew, Vincent as well as several aunts, uncles, cousins, his pool buddies, his family at the Manchester Vets Club and his friends at DCI in Maysville.

John will be cremated.  Family and friends are invited to a Celebration Gathering from 3:00 - 5:00 PM, Friday, August 15, 2025 at Wilson Funeral Home 35 W. Second St., Manchester.
