Jack R. Fenton age 83, of West Union, OH passed the morning of Thursday, February 5, 2026 at The Ohio Valley Manor in Ripley surrounded by his loving family.
Jack was born July 5, 1942 in Lynx, Ohio to the late Forrest and Elsie Fenton (Breeden). In addition to his parents, he is preceded in death by his baby sister Lois Katherine and nephew William (Billy) Fenton.
Survivors include his wife Clara Lee Fenton (Howard) of 61 years. His only son Randy and Tina Fenton of West Union. One brother Denver Fenton. One sister Ellen (Dennis) Jolly. 2 grandsons, which were his pride and joy! Jared (Kaitlyn) Fenton of Manchester, Ohio, Josh (Kaidance) Fenton of Ripley, Ohio. 1 great-grandson Waylon Tod and 1 great grandbaby due in July.
Jack is a veteran of the United States Army, a member of the American Legion and VFW in Manchester. Jack was retired from the Adams County Water Company. Jack’s biggest enjoyment in life was spending time with his grandsons Jared and Josh. He loved attending all their sporting events throughout their younger years and high school.
Funeral services will be held Tuesday, February 10, 2026 at 1:00 PM, at The Thompson-Meeker Funeral Home, in West Union with Edwin Heisler officiating. Burial will follow in the East Liberty Cemetery, with military services by the Adams County Honor Guard. Visitation will be from 11:00 AM till the time of the service at 1:00 PM. Services are entrusted to the Thompson-Meeker Funeral Home.
