Gregory B Garrett

Greg Garrett, age 57, of Blue Creek, Ohio, passed away peacefully at home on March 31, 2026.

Greg was born November 7, 1968, in West Union, Ohio, the son of Larry & Carolyn Garrett. He graduated from Peebles High School in 1987.

Greg loved the outdoors & felt most at home in nature. Whether he was hunting, spending time in the woods, or simply enjoying the quiet beauty of the outdoors, it was where he found peace and happiness.

More than anything, Greg loved his family. They were the center of his world, & the time he spent with them & talking to them meant everything to him.

Though Greg’s body was limited, his spirit remained strong. Those who loved him take comfort in knowing he is now whole, restored, and finally free in the presence of Jesus.

Greg will be remembered for his kind heart, his love of his family, & for the many memories he created with those who knew & loved him.

He is survived by his mother, Carolyn Garrett, of Blue Creek; his siblings, Brett Garrett (spouse Karen) of Peebles, Kim Garrett of Peebles, Kevin Garrett of Peebles, & Amber Vickers (spouse Danny) of Newport; his nieces and nephews, Brandon Myers, Karissa Miller (spouse Rob), Dakota Garrett (spouse Alexandria), Kiera Garrett, Kendra Niswander, Holly Niswander, Kasey Garrett, Caleb Miller, Mikayla Vickers & Jaylynn Vickers; his great-nieces and great-nephews, Greyson, Kamri, River, Cameron, Emberly, Noble, Grant, Louella, Macy, Jaxon, & Ainsley; and many beloved uncles, aunts, cousins & friends.

He was preceded in death by his father, Larry Garrett, his grandparents, & many uncles.

A graveside service will be held on Monday, April 6, 2026 at 11:00 am at Antioch Cemetery in Peebles, with Scott Osman officiating.

In honor of Greg’s love for the outdoors, the family encourages those attending to share stories and memories of time spent with him in nature.

Greg’s family finds comfort in knowing that while he will be deeply missed, he is now at peace and free.
