George Bauer Obituary

George W. Bauer, age 91 years, of West Union, Ohio, passed away Monday, July 6, 2026. He was born July 24, 1934 in Lancaster, Ohio to the late Lawrence W. & Anna Nancy (Weatherholt) Bauer. In addition to his parents, he is preceded in death by his wife of 72 years Jerry Ann Bauer, a brother Lawrence Bauer and sister Kathryn Bibbee.

Survivors include his children Robin Bauer-Pickering of West Union; Terry Bauer & Shelia of Enon; Dawn Knepper & Duke of Pickaway; brother Robert Bauer & Bonnie of Georgia; grandchildren Aubree, Jessica, Ashley, Ian, Elijah & Aden; and several great grandchildren.

Following cremation, a memorial service will be held at the convenience of the family. The Thompson-Meeker Funeral Home in West Union is serving the family.
