Fred Alan Holsinger of Manchester, passed away on his 63rd birthday, Monday, March 6, 2023, at his residence. He was born March 6, 1960 in Portsmouth, son of the late Johnny Boy Holsinger and Delores Kennedy Murphy. He is survived by his loving wife, Pam Hesler Holsinger, whom they’ve been together for 24 years. In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by his son, Joshua Dale Horner; siblings, Barry Holsinger, Howland Murphy and a brother-in-law, Rickey Francis
Fred was a member of the Hilltop Missionary Baptist Church in Stearns, KY. His faith was strong and he never lost sight of it. Even though he was small in stature, Fred had more strength than anyone could imagine. Fred was a great Carpenter and worked for R&R Contractors for many years.
In addition to his wife, he is survived by his children, Jessica (Shawn) Markwell of Manchester, Lakota Thacker of Georgetown, KY; children that he thought of as his own, Malakye and Ashtten Ewards and Baleigh Hopkins; 31 grandchildren; siblings, George “Peanut” (Nancy) Holsinger, Beverly (Jerry) Ross, Darlene Francis, Roger Holsinger and Howard Murphy; close friends, Jeff Conley, Pete Rigdon, Timothy Rigdon and Frank Coffey; special nephews, Johnathan Holsinger, Rickey Francis and Todd Lewis and his Hilltop Missionary Baptist Church Family.
Family and friends are invited to a memorial gathering from 5:00 PM, until the time of the memorial service at 7:00 PM, Friday, March 10, 2023 at Wilson Funeral Home, 35 W. Second St., Manchester. Pastor Tommy Tapley will officiate. Fred will be cremated after the service. Inurnment will be held at a later date at McKendree Cemetery, Nile Township, Scioto County.
