Edna Ricketts, 69, of Manchester, passed away Tuesday, February 17, 2026 at her residence. She was born March 22, 1956 in West Union, daughter of the late James and Mabel Doan Francis. She is survived by her loving husband of 54 years, Ray Ricketts. In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by her son, Russell Ray Ricketts; brother, David Francis and a sister, Eva Smith.
Edna had a joyful spirit and a love for life’s simple pleasures. She was an avid Bingo player, known for her incredible ability to watch what seemed like a million cards at once without ever missing a number — a talent that amazed everyone around her. She enjoyed spending hours exploring flea markets, always on the lookout for a hidden treasure. One of her greatest joys was taking a week-long summer vacation each year with her family, creating memories that will be cherished for generations. Above all, Edna treasured time spent with those she loved, filling every gathering with laughter, warmth, and togetherness.
In addition to her husband, she is survived by her children, Mike (Moe) Ricketts, Isaac (Donna) Ricketts, Lucy (Douglas) Floyd, Ray (Crystal) Ricketts, Tonya Morris; her nephew, whom she loved as her own son, Russell Francis; grandchildren, Jonathan, Kimberly, Russell, Carl, Teleatha, Lindsay, Izhik, Isabelle, Ian, Michael, Mable, Tonya, Destiny; several great-grandchildren; brothers, James (Diane) Francis and Eugene Francis; sister, Barbara (Rob) Smith as well as several nieces and nephews.
Family and friends are invited to a visitation from 12:00 PM, until the time of the funeral service at 1:00 PM, Monday, February 23, 2026 at Wilson Funeral Home, 35 W. Second St., Manchester. Burial will follow at Manchester Cemetery.
