Obituary
Dorothy McFarland, 81, of Manchester, passed away Saturday, August 19, 2023 at Anderson Mercy Hospital. She was born August 23, 1941 in Wrightsville, daughter of the late Alva and Louise Sheeley Hughes. In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by her brother, Russell E. Hughes.
Dorothy was the Fiscal Officer for Manchester Township for many years as well as a Bookkeeper around the Maysville area. She was also a member of the American Legion Auxiliary in Manchester.
She is survived by her son, Kelly McFarland; daughter, Glenna McFarland; 5 grandchildren and 8 great-grandchildren.
Dorothy will be cremated. Family and friends are invited to a Celebration of Life from 1:00 - 3:00PM, Saturday, September 9, 2023 at the Manchester Community Building. Arrangements are entrusted to Wilson Funeral Home in Manchester.
