Dorothy A. (Ross) Helterbridle

Dorothy A. Helterbridle, 81, of Manchester, passed away Thursday, July 13, 2023 at the Hospice of Hope Care Center at Kenton Pointe in Maysville, KY.  She was born April 9, 1942 in Manchester, daughter of the late Hershel Wilson and Thelma L. Boone Ross.  She was the widow of the late Robert “Bob” Helterbridle, who passed away in 2022.  In addition to her loving husband and parents, she was preceded in death by a daughter, Patty “Sissy” Helterbridle; granddaughter, Megan Helterbridle; siblings, Hattie Perry, Wilma “Jeannie” (Herb) Conn, Hershel and Jack Ross.

Dorothy was proud of her 21 years of work and dedication as a caregiver for ABCAP; she also worked at her grandfather’s grocery store, Ross Grocery, for many years, as well as many years on the road traveling with her husband, Bob, in a semi-truck.  She loved the family vacations that they took every year to Florida beaches and cherished every moment she had spending time with her grandchildren.   

She is survived by her children, Mike (Mary) Helterbridle, John (Mischelle) Helterbridle and Joy Helterbridle; grandchildren, Skyler, Jacob, Riley Ann and Logan; great-grandson, Zayden Grooms; siblings, Jerry (Beverly) Ross and Elaine (Danny) Shelton as well has her beloved Yorkie, Max.

Dorothy will be cremated.  The family will hold private services at their convenience.  Arrangements are entrusted to Wilson Funeral Home in Manchester.
