Dean Wright

Dean Wright, age 77 of West Union, Ohio passed away Thursday, March 6, 2025 at the UC Medical Center in Cincinnati. He was born August 30, 1947 in Silverhill, Kentucky to the late Don & Reva (Williams) Wright. In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by his wife, Sharon Gayle Wright (nee Patrick), who passed away in 2017; granddaughter, Mary Motts; brother, Gene Wright; sister, Sandy Conley; son-in-law, John W. Motts; brother-in-law, Ernest Jenkins.

Dean loved farming, being with his grandson, and being with his friends from the grief counseling groups he attended.

He leaves behind daughter, Deanna Motts; grandson, Johnny Motts; special friend, Melissa Powell; sister, Brenda Jenkins; brother-in-law, Jimmy Conley; special friends, Rita & Ronnie McQuire; and many other friends and neighbors who love him.

Funeral services will be held Monday, March 10, 2025 at 11:00 AM at the Thompson-Meeker Funeral Home in West Union, OH. Burial will follow in the Kirker Cemetery. Visitation will be held Sunday, March 9, 2025 from 3:00 – 5:00 PM at the funeral home.
