David McMurray Obituary

David McMurray age 64 of Stout, Ohio passed away Wednesday, January 8, 2025 at the Southern Ohio Medical Center Hospice Unit.

David McMurray was born September 18, 1960 in Dayton, Ohio to the late Joe Clay & Cleve Jewel McMurray. In addition to his parents, he is preceded in death by his daughter Sarah Sparrow.

David leaves behind his wife Cindy McMurray of Stout, OH; daughter Cynthia & Heath Kirby of Columbus, OH; sisters Phyllis & Bob Johnson of West Alexandria, OH; Kathy Hickman of Easton, OH; brother Larry & Elaine McMurray of Eaton, OH; and five grandchildren Clevee Sparrow, Jayce Sparrow, Luke Pack, Breonna Kirby, Caitriona Kirby and numerous nieces & nephews.

David loved the outdoors, deer hunting, rabbit hunting, squirrel hunting. David loved shooting guns, reloading ammo. David loved being with his family, cooking out and playing cornhole with the neighbors Dan & Sherry Gayheart & Dan’s sister Margaret & Jeremiah. David loved sports, Ohio State & NFL Football.

David will be sadly missed by all that truly loved him. David will be forever in our hearts. I will always love you my handsome man.

Following cremation, a memorial service will be held Saturday, January 25, 2025 at the Green Township Fire House 2243 Blue Creek Road Blue Creek, Ohio, from 5 - 8 PM. The Thompson-Meeker Funeral Home in West Union has the honor of serving the family during this difficult time.
