Charlie D. Young

Charlie D. Young, 87, of Manchester, passed away, Monday, November 25, 2024 at Monarch Meadows in Seaman.  He was born February 1, 1937 in Manchester, son of the late John W. and Maude Adams Young.  He was the widower of his beloved late wife, Betty DeMint Young, who passed away in 2021.  In addition to his wife and parents, he was preceded in death by his daughter, Cheryl Maddox; his son James Young and a sister, Katherin McIntosh.  

Charlie is survived by his grandchildren, Lindsey (Sean) Richardson, Emily Young and Kyle (Megan) Maddox; his great-grandchildren, Eli Jones, Abrah Nicholson, Noah, Aubrey and Thomas Maddox and his sister, Beverly Jo Gabbert.
 

Family and friends are invited to a visitation from 5:00 PM, until the time of the funeral service at 7:00 PM, Friday, November 29, 2024 at Wilson Funeral Home, 35 W. Second St., Manchester.  Pastor Dale Little will officiate. Cremation will take place after the services.
