Bob Rau

Bob Rau, 77, of Russellville, passed away, Sunday, August 3, 2025 at his residence.  He was born March 14, 1948 in Maysville, KY, son of the late Eugene Joseph and Bertha Rosalie Tamme Rau.  He is survived by his loving wife, Pat Haitz Rau.  In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by a niece, Theresa Evans.

Bob was a proud United States Army veteran who served his country during the Vietnam War. He was a dedicated member of St. Mary Catholic Church and an active participant in his community. Bob held memberships with the Maysville Moose Lodge #1124, Maysville FOE #1564, and the Walter Miller American Legion Post #394, where he enjoyed fellowship and service alongside fellow veterans and friends.

In addition to his wife, he is survived by his children, Brian (Michele) Rau of Maysville, KY, Brady (Christy) Rau of Pine Island, FL, Brandon Rau of Maysville, KY, Angie (Aaron) King of Russellville and Kenneth (Nicholas) Aker of Amelia; 11 grandchildren; 3 great-grandchildren; brothers, Jim (Rosie) Rau and Edward (Judy) Rau all of Winchester; sister, Mary Helen (Hugh) Evans of Amelia as well as several nieces and nephews.

In accordance with Bob’s wishes, a private Mass of Christian Burial will be held at the convenience of the family.  Arrangements are entrusted to Meeker Funeral Home in Russellville.
