Betty Ann Arnold

Betty Ann Arnold (Nanny) age 71 of West Union, OH passed the early morning of Tuesday February 3, 2026 at her residence surrounded by her loving family. Betty was born February 1, 1955 in Adams County, OH to the late Roy and Mary Ruth (Grimes) Arnold. In addition to her parents, she is preceded in death by her 5 sisters Geneva Howell, Wanda Hayslip, Shirley Orcutt, Donna Arnold, Rita Cooper. 6 brothers Sherman, Roy Jr., Rick, Darrell, Larry, Ronnie Arnold and grandchild Hayden Faye Barr.

Survivors include 1 son Kelly Trimble of West Union, OH; 2 daughters Michelle (Dion) Barr of West Union, OH and Julie Trimble of Colorado; 2 sisters Brenda Taylor of West Union, OH and Mary Lou Hafer of Kentucky; 8 grandchildren Levi (Megan) Barr of Mowrystown, OH, Natasha (Kyleigh)Barr of Richmond, KY, Cierra (Austin) Grover of Aberdeen, OH, Mia, Katarina, Constance, Thomas, Alex Trimble of West Union, OH. 7 great grandchildren Amicia, Theodore, Maverick, Gracelyn, Malachi, Asher, Rosalie, awaiting the arrival of an 8th great grandchild Haylen-Ann.

Betty was known for her remarkable ability to create and build and she had an incredible green thumb, able to bring life to anything she planted. She was also an exceptional cook, sharing her love through countless meals that brought family together and created lasting memories. Betty truly could accomplish anything she set her mind to. Above all, her greatest joy in life was her family. Especially raising her children, grandchildren and great grandchildren who were the pride of her life.

A visitation will be held Monday, February 9, 2026 from 11 AM to Noon at the Thompson-Meeker Funeral Home in West Union. A Mass service will follow at 12:15 PM at the Holy Trinity Catholic Church with Father Adam Lewis officiating. Burial will follow in the West Union Cemetery. Services are entrusted to the Thompson-Meeker Funeral Home.
