Barbara L. (Mehne) Poole

Barbara L. Poole, 85, of Amelia, OH, passed away Tuesday, February 17, 2026 at the Forest Hills Care Center in Cincinnati. She was born on June 6, 1940 in Cincinnati, OH to the late Cleveland and Virginia (Carr) Mehne. She attended the St. Bernadette Catholic Church in Amelia.

In addition to her parents, Barbara was also preceded in death by her first husband, Eugene McDonald Sr; second husband, David Poole; daughter, Tammy Jo Shannon and 2 grandchildren, Christopher Shannon and Rob Johnson.

Barbara is survived by her sons; Eugene (Kathy) McDonald of Kettering, Jefferson (Regina) McDonald of Williamsburg, David Wayne (Kathy) McDonald of Cincinnati, James (Toni) McDonald of Rochester, KY; daughters, Sharon (Terry) Wallace of Russellville, Elizabeth Johnson of Cincinnati, Sarah Houg of Batavia; sisters, Mary Flowers of Ft. Myers, FL, Carol Jean Mehne of Cincinnati; 2 half-brothers, Michael Mehne and James Mehne both of Cincinnati; 14 grandchildren; numerous great grandchildren and great-great grandchildren as well as several nieces and nephews.

Memorial services will be held on Thursday, February 19, 2026 at 1:00 PM at the Meeker Funeral Home in Russellville. Father Dohrman Byers will be officiating. Visitation will be held from 12:00 PM until the time of the service at 1:00 PM.
