Alpheus W. (Al) Lewis

Alpheus W. (Al) Lewis age 71 years passed away Wednesday, February 6, 2019 at the Adams County Regional Medical Center.  Al was born on March 10, 1947 the son of the late Paul L. and Irene (Spires) Lewis in Manchester, Ohio.

Al was retired from the United States Navy, he retired from the Adams County Children Services and was a member of the 6th Ohio Volunteer Infantry.

Survivors include his loving wife of 45 years Sara Lewis of West Union, Ohio; two daughters Sarene Bellamy and Brian of West Union, Ohio; Aimee King and Tammy of Florence, Kentucky; two grandchildren Baylee Bellamy and Augustus King; one sister Judy Mason of Seaman, Ohio; two brothers Roger Lewis of Port Clinton, Ohio; Bob Lewis of Manchester, Ohio.

Following cremation a Memorial service will be held on February 23, 2019 at noon at the Thompson-Meeker Funeral Home.  Military services will be conducted by the Adams County Honor Guard.  Visitation will be held from 11:00 to Noon the day of the service.
